Donald Croft Brickner A Note to Capitalism's Economists: It's all About the Consumer -- Period

It’s not as if we don’t get our fair share of warnings -- as in, these Billy Joel lyrics from last century: “… Every child had a pretty good shot … to get at least as far as their old man got… Something happened on the way to that place: they threw an American flag in our face …” -- Allentown by Donald Croft Brickner If there is a preposterous irony to history’s in-and-out-of-a-century’s worth of Big Shot compulsive money-making, it’s that it couldn’t survive without the Little… Continue

RonPrice Description of Ron Price's Blog: Post #2

MY TAPESTRY OF INTERNET WRITING There are now several hundred thousand readers engaged in parts of my internet tapestry, my literary product, my creation, my immense pile of words across the internet--and hundreds of people with whom I correspond on occasion as a result. This amazing technical facility, the world wide web, has made this literary success possible. If my writing had been left in the hands of the traditional hard and soft cover publishers, where it had been without success when I… Continue

Uneek Xpresshun Stan's most recent

blackunicorn010 (11/7/2008 2:30:03 AM): Change It didn't matter if it was a Donkey, Elephant or a Goat, the elections now over and that's all she wrote. Now it's time to put any differences aside, and pray the next four years are a wonderful ride. So many changes are needed in this world and our life, from poverty to personal freedoms or everday strife. This Historical event that we now have at hand, could be the beginning of a new worldly plan. I've never been into politics much, I must admit,… Continue

Dominique CNN's Jack CAFFERTY blog: What will you miss most about Bush?

http://caffertyfile.blogs.cnn.com/2008/11/05/what-will-you-miss-most-about-bush/#comment-745192 Daniel Dominique Watts, Western Springs, IL Nov 5th, 2008 4:05 pm ET I’m still shocked The “impeach Bush” campaign was squashed by the secret service. He NEEDED to be impeached more than even Nixon. Squandering USA’s $$ to serve his own families needs for $$ and Dick A. (ass) Cheney’s windfall profits is the largest crime in American Presidential history. To have us SUFFER under this guy’s 8 years… Continue

Dominique FROM CNN’s Jack Cafferty: What was McCain’s biggest mistake? http://caffertyfile.blogs.cnn.com/

November 5, 2008 McCain’s biggest mistake? Posted: 12:28 PM ET What was the likable 'maverick's' biggest mistake? FROM CNN’s Jack Cafferty: What happened to John McCain? The likable “maverick” who beat some pretty strong competition to capture his party’s nomination had morphed into something else by yesterday. After promising to run an “honorable” campaign, McCain quickly became another symbol of the divisive politics of past Republican presidential campaigns. Name calling, insults, pettines… Continue

Dennis James To the "we're right, not you" democrats

I like the fact that Obama is not found in my spell checker, and that I get to select the "Ignore" button to proceed. Obama has his hands full because he has a history of being a professional candidate. A "present" vote from the White House will not help his re-electionion campaign that I believe will start the day after his inauguration. Therefore, he will finally have to show the cards he has been hiding for all these years. Pray! God bless, Dennis Continue

Dennis James Feel free to judge others

This is a short reply I added to a post about not judging others and being accepting and tolerant of everyone; Ironically, the definition of an opinion is, a judgement formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge. For one to accept another without judgement, personal interaction and or prior knowledge must be avoided. If I see something I regard as beautiful, I am making a judgement. If I smell something wonderful, I am making a judgement. If I taste something swee… Continue

Nikhil Parekh The Terrorists…

The Terrorists… They belonged to no religion. As they solely surrendered to the religion of the devil--- which ruthlessly beheaded countless innocent; infirm and freshly born; in the name of sacred Lord Almighty, They belonged to no color. As they solely pledged to the color of the devil—which wanted to invidiously incarcerate every effervescent shade of life; into the gallows of hopeless and haplessly stymied black, They belonged to no territory. As they solely blended with the territory of… Continue

Nikhil Parekh HOW WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO WELCOME GOD ON DIWALI ?

HOW WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO WELCOME GOD ON DIWALI ? With the footprints of brotherhood that you left when you embraced one and all--- OR With venomous bellows of nonchalant smoke which diabolically tarnished his pristine atmosphere? With the song of peace that you hummed from the innermost realms of your heart---OR With inexplicable misery that you inflicted upon boundless with the hideous noise of bombs exploding on every nook; corner and street? With the magical wand of your friendship which tr… Continue

Nikhil Parekh Are you ready to fulfill the Tree's last wish ???

Are you ready to fulfill the Tree's last wish ??? You unsparingly spat leftovers of your food on its innocent body---yet the same tree granted you the most tranquil contentment under its branches; as the afternoon glare fiercely torched even the last bone of your creaking spine, You ruthlessly plucked a plentiful of its leaf without any reason or rhyme---yet the same tree enamored you with boundless an untold story; as you slumped your entire weight in tiredness; across its majestic trunk, Yo… Continue

Nikhil Parekh Everytime my heart palpitated for existence…

Everytime my heart palpitated for existence… Some relentlessly wiped the dust of it; just in order to relieve the unsurpassable restlessness that irksomely leaked from each pore of their; frenetically trembling fingers, Some unceasingly wiped the dust of it; just in order to give each day of theirs a meaningfully pragmatic start; judiciously adhering to every conceivable thumb rule of cleanliness embossed in the scientific textbooks, Some thoroughly wiped the dust of it; just in order to gran… Continue

Nikhil Parekh Once again back in the Creator’s Heaven…

Once again back in the Creator’s Heaven… There were some who ardently waited for all majestic pearls on this fathomless Universe—to become every insouciant line on their destiny palms—and keep perennially shimmering happily everafter, There were some who irrevocably waited for every leaf of artistic green to grow in their backyards—to timelessly enshroud even the most vapidly deteriorating of their senses with the magical touch of nature divine, There were some who fervently waited for all th… Continue

Nikhil Parekh Attaining heaven from your corpse in hell…

Attaining heaven from your corpse in hell… A countless times in the name of religion you've cursed a countless impeccable black cat's crossing your way—and thereby instantaneously found yourself a most certain place in the most derogatorily punitive hell, A countless times in the name of religion you've ruthlessly drowned a countless girl child to the rock bottom of the ocean—and thereby instantaneously found yourself a most certain place in the most sadistically morbid hell, A countless time… Continue

Donald Croft Brickner Navigating Through the Invisibility of the Stricken

Remember how so few Americans responded to New Orleans’ residents in their honest-to-gosh hours (and hours, and hours) of need after Katrina? Well, that look-the-other-way behavior haunts this nation still as Americans continue to lose their houses and their jobs. What, you don’t believe in the concept of victimhood? Most of us no longer do (!) -- we’ve already got way too much on our own plates, and no one’s jumping in to help us. Still, we’re once again ignoring financially stricken neig Continue

Nikhil Parekh Patience---The Greatest Artist…

Patience---The Greatest Artist… Wasn’t it while waiting for something—that you inevitably learnt to profoundly admire even the most infinitesimal droplet of rain that cascaded from the sky; eventually absorbing into deep recesses of parched soil? Wasn’t it while waiting for something—that you inevitably learnt to notice the streaks of latent agony lingering in the afforested land; where the truant man played the most ruthlessly barbarous devil of his kind? Wasn’t it while waiting for somethin… Continue
